Chipper Training

Tree Care Machinery recognises the need for anyone who operates Bandit woodchippers to understand how the machine works and more importantly how to operate the machine safely. We conduct an extensive ‘Operator Induction Familiarisation Program’ at the time the woodchipper is delivered and provide operators the opportunity to attend refresher courses when required.

The ‘Operator Induction Familiarisation Program’ is designed for new and/or experienced operators with the focus on:

  • Understanding and applying the principals and procedures of safe and productive chipping
  • Risk assessment and avoidance strategies for high risk chipping situations

The training covers:

  • Component identification
  • Safe chipping procedures
  • Transportation
  • Safety messages and signs
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Daily Pre-start procedures
  • Shut down procedures
  • Basic maintenance
  • Changing knives

A Participation Certificate is issued on completion of the Induction Training Program.

In addition Tree Care Machinery can organise for a nationally accredited woodchipper training course to be delivered on site.
