Choose your deadeye to suit your needs. Rigging smaller branches or using it as a redirect…? 12mm deadeye is the sling for you. Rigging larger branches and smaller wood…? 16mm deadeye will suit you well. Rigging heavy branches/limbs and large timber…? You’d better go the 20mm deadeye.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The deadeye sling has been around longer than a minute, but it is simple, easy to install and uninstall, and relatively inexpensive. Made from Donaghys popular rigging rope “Yachtmaster” and spliced in-house at TCM, you know you can trust these slings.
Know your limits!!! Donaghys rope manufacturer recommends a 6:1 safety factor for rigging applications.
