If your Husqvarna chainsaw is run by a two stroke engine, it always needs to be fuelled with a mixture of gasoline and two stroke oil. Follow these steps to mix two stroke oil and unleaded gasoline for your Husqvarna chainsaw. First make sure that you mix accurately. Never refuel while the chainsaw is running or hot and make sure your fuelling area has plenty of ventilation. After refuelling, remember to move at least 10 feet away and watch for any spillage.
It is important to make sure you are using the right type of fuel. A good quality unleaded fuel is needed. Be sure to use 89 octane or higher unleaded fuel. For best results, use Husqvarna brand two-stroke engine oil that if FD certified.
Always mix gasoline and oil in a clean fuel container, not in the chainsaw’s fuel tank. Fill half the amount of gasoline to be used. Add the entire amount of two stroke oil. Shake the fuel mixture for 10-15 seconds. Add the additional gasoline and shake for 10-15 additional seconds. Pour the fuel into the tank to 80% of capacity.
To ensure your Husqvarna chainsaw is properly lubricated, check your chain oil. Good chain oil should demonstrate good adhesion to the chain and should maintain flow characteristics regardless of weather. Never use waste oil.
